POSITION: Seasonal Bookseller
REPORTING TO: Store Manager
STORE: Woodlands Boulevard, Pretoriuspark, Pretoria

As a Seasonal Bookseller, you’ll play a crucial role in helping our customers discover the gift that truly lasts – a great book.
You will receive and unpack stock, categorise books and merchandise stock for the customer. You will also focus on customer service making sure the customer gets excellent service by delivery of their needs. You will build up your book knowledge every day to build strong relationships with the customer driving up sales.
Main Responsibilities
Customer Service – Provide exceptional customer service, guiding readers to their next literary adventure.
Sales and upselling – Share your passion for books by recommending titles, genres and hidden gems.
Housekeeping – Maintain a welcoming and organised store environment.
Stock Management & Merchandising – Assist with inventory management and merchandising.
Security – Be alert and aware of the non-shopper/shoplifter
Team Player – Contribute to a vibrant and positive team atmosphere.
The successful applicant will have the following attributes:

Sales skills
High level of computer literacy
Physically strong and fit
Work well under pressure
Good follow through and commitment
Prepared to work long hours and weekends during the season.
